Whether you have a clear idea in mind or are still exploring possibilities, these sessions are tailored to help you translate your creative vision into embroidery. To get the most from this pathway, we recommend booking a full-day session, allowing enough time for experimentation, sampling and technical development.

We'll focus on:

  • A tailored introduction to Wilcom E4 for those new to the software
  • Exploring creative embroidery techniques such as Contour Fill, Florentine Effects, appliqué and textured stitch treatments
  • Turning artwork, sketches and concepts into embroidery
  • Sampling and development techniques
  • Digitising for fashion and textile applications
  • Fabric, thread and stabiliser selection
  • Collection planning and technical support
  • Recommendations for suitable materials, backings and embroidery techniques to support your project brief
  • Preparing designs for production and future development

Whether you're preparing for a university deadline, developing a collection, exhibition, portfolio project or client commission, sessions are designed around your individual goals and creative practice.

Our aim is not only to help you complete your project, but also to give you the skills and understanding to continue developing your work independently after your training.

When completing the enquiry form, please tell us as much as possible about your project, your experience level, and any equipment or software you already have access to. This allows us to tailor the session to your needs and ensure you get the most from your training.

Optional Stitch-Out Service

If you do not have access to an embroidery machine, or if you would like us to produce samples for you after your training session, we offer a stitch-out service at £35 per hour.

We are happy to post completed samples back to you, making this a convenient option for those travelling from further afield.
