A love of horror, matching Levi's trucker jackets, and a design that perfectly captured their personalities - this couple created wedding jackets they'll treasure long after the big day. From bespoke artwork to thoughtful craftsmanship, their jackets have become everyday favourites, proving that wedding style doesn't have to end at the aisle.

How would you describe your wedding?

"A Japanese dream."

What inspired your choice of wedding location, venue and overall vibe for your day?

"We always wanted to honeymoon in Japan, and after making the decision to elope, we decided to have the wedding there too. Our vibe was cool, calm, stress free and FUN. We got married in a park in Shinjuku before bopping around the city and ending with karaoke."

Looking back, what are the main moments from your wedding day that you'll remember forever?

"Seeing each other for the first time in a beautiful stone pavilion in the park. Heading into our favourite convenience stores (including 7/11) in our wedding gear for -196 cans. Dancing over the crossings at sunset. Singing our hearts out at karaoke and finishing with a dance in the Techno Church."

Were there any planning decisions or personal touches that made your day feel especially meaningful or unique to you as a couple?

"The biggest decision was probably to let go of what a wedding wo look like and just plan a day that sounded genuinely fun to us. We kept things simple and built the day around things we love and exploring Tokyo, stopping at convenience stores, dancing through the city, karaoke and ending the night in a techno church. Nothing felt forced or overly planned, and that made the whole day feel very us."

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding with a similar style or vision to yours?

"If you’re considering eloping, do it! It gave us the freedom to make the day completely our own, without worrying about traditions, expectations or keeping anyone else happy. We could focus entirely on each other and on having the best possible day together. Keep the planning simple, leave room for spontaneity and make it feel like an adventure rather than a wedding itinerary."

What made you decide to have a custom jacket created for your wedding day?

"I'd always been a fan of couples' jackets at weddings, but I didn't want the traditional Mrs X or the usual denim or leather jacket style. Beth's designs gave us the freedom to use Levi's winter trucker jackets."

What elements or details did you want to incorporate into your jacket design and why were they meaningful to you?

"I incorporated my new surname in a biker style along with the big 'until death do us part' heart & skeleton hands. I am a huge horror fan so this design was perfect."

How did you find the process of designing and creating your personalised jacket?

"AMAZING!! Beth and Ellie were amazing with the first jacket, even creating the name part from scratch based on my request. B&E weren't sure about ironing the patches onto the jacket as it was corduroy, so we decided upon the design being stitched onto the jacket which IMO is a perfect long term solution as the jackets are used often. My husband loved my jacket so much we had another one done for him, which required a rush, and Beth and Ellie ensured that it happened on time. It ended up being super cool for both of us to have them and we wear them day to day back at home (with many compliments coming our way)."
