Sarah & Jonathan
22nd June 2026
Location: Valley of fire, Nevada, US.
Photographer: Emily Nelson.
Set against the breathtaking red rock landscapes of Nevada's Valley of Fire, this unforgettable elopement was filled with meaningful personal touches, heartfelt tributes, and a bespoke embroidered jacket unlike any other. From memorial keepsakes to a pair of lovebird-inspired pigeons stitched onto the back, every detail celebrated a love story that was beautifully, unapologetically their own.
How would you describe your wedding?
"A day so perfect, it could make any God jealous."
What inspired your choice of wedding location, venue and overall vibe for your day?
"I'd seen pictures on IG and I knew I NEEDED to have my own with my hubby."
Looking back, what are the main moments from your wedding day that you'll remember forever?
"The landscape was mind-blowing. I’ve traveled all over the world, and I’ve never seen such epic scenery. To live such an important day in a unique place on Earth like the Valley of fire was priceless."

Were there any planning decisions or personal touches that made your day feel especially meaningful or unique to you as a couple?
"Even though we chose to elope, I asked to have one single chair. I had a memorial banner for our loved ones, because they will forever have a prime spot reserved for them. I also handcrafted lockets with their pictures for my bouquet and my Hubby's pocket watch."
What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding with a similar style or vision to yours?
"Trust the process! Make a list of what you'd like in order of priority and BE WILD! This is a once in a lifetime experience, don't hold back on your dream. We had the amazing opportunity to have an elopement planner who listened to every request I had, and honored ALL of them."

What made you decide to have a custom jacket created for your wedding day?
"I LOVE anything that is "not like everyone", and I had seen many different bridal jean jackets, but they all seemed the same to me. I didn't want "that". Then, I saw Beth Wilson Embroidery's and I said to myself "This is IT". I reached out with my ideas and they (Beth and Ellie) were able to create a masterpiece."

What elements or details did you want to incorporate into your jacket design and why were they meaningful to you?
"At first, I chose the pinky swear design, but the more I thought about it, the more I felt there was a little something missing. I often tell my Hubby he's my pigeon, since these birds chose one partner in their lifetime. That's how I came up with the idea of swapping the hands, for the two pigeons."

How did you find the process of designing and creating your personalised jacket?
"I was a bit nervous, since I had a very specific idea in mind, but when I received my jacket, the result was absolutely mindblowing and even better than what I had imagined!"
