Defining their day as fun, small, informal but perfect, Alexa and her partner got married surrounded by enchanting Scottish woodlands and performed their first dance to Limp Bizkit!

How would you describe your wedding?

"Fun, small, informal but perfect"

What inspired your choice of wedding location, venue and overall vibe for your day?

"I’ve always known if I were to get married I’d have had a Beth Wilson jacket, I’ve probably followed the account for way over a decade. My partner is very chill in respect to style (to put it politely) so the vibes were mainly mine. I had to have the jacket, my baby blue high heels and a Katie France London bag 👌🏻We wanted a small wedding and found the perfect venue in our local area. Debbie at the Dramin house was an absolute dream to work with. The photos I have my jacket on are near the Telford bridge in Craigellachie. A popular spot on the whisky trail."

Looking back, what are the main moments from your wedding day that you'll remember forever?

"Saying our vows and walking into our dance to Limp Bizkit"

Were there any planning decisions or personal touches that made your day feel especially meaningful or unique to you as a couple?

"We decorated the venue ourselves with the help of our friends. One good friend, Brodie is the gardener at Macallan distillery so she’d saved up heaps of beautiful dried flowers for our centre pieces. My friends auntie made us a beautiful black “til death” wedding cake."

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding with a similar style or vision to yours?

"Just go for what YOU want, you won’t regret it"

What made you decide to have a custom jacket/ banner created for your wedding day?

"Like I’ve said before, it was an absolute must. I think it was honestly one of the very first things I ordered. Stephen’s (my husband) has always called me darlin’ so it was perfectly fitting for a wedding jacket. I got badges on for the lapels that said “Mrs Christie”’ and “just married”"

What elements or details did you want to incorporate into your design and why were they meaningful to you?

"I love hearts and sacred hearts etc so there was an element of that with the beams of gold from behind. I wanted the date due to it being 666 basically 😈"

How did you find the process of designing and creating your personalised jacket?

"The design process was very easy and the girl I discussed my design with was so helpful. I ended up doodling a composition of what I felt I’d like then she came back with a perfected design and we were good to go from there."
