Nestled in the Northumberland countryside, Le Petit Château set the scene for a wedding that was intimate, joyful and completely true to the couple. With just their closest family and friends by their side, every detail reflected their story - creating a day filled with love, laughter and unforgettable memories.

How would you describe your wedding?
"Fun, for us, small."
What inspired your choice of wedding location, venue and overall vibe for your day?
"Vibe was very us, did not have to adhere to tradition, only did things we actually wanted to do. Location was chosen purely on the look and vibe of the venue. We have a son together and a lot of our guests had children so we also wanted it to be family friendly."

Looking back, what are the main moments from your wedding day that you'll remember forever?
"Following the vows our son running up after us as we left to throw confetti. First look of my leather jacket for all the guests and all the photos everyone wanted of it. The biggest party was all the kids (12 kids between 4 months and 6 years old) having a dance at 3pm to the band before the wedding breakfast."
Were there any planning decisions or personal touches that made your day feel especially meaningful or unique to you as a couple?
"Every decision was made with us as a couple in mind. i knew immediately I wanted a personalised leather jacket and actually started sourcing that before my dress. It was a small wedding with 35 adult guests and 12 young children so it all felt super personal to us."

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding with a similar style or vision to yours?
"Only do what you want to do. You don't have to do anything that doesn't feel like you, even if it is tradition! Everyone was surprised at it being children friendly, but if you want kids there and it suits you, just invite them. "

What made you decide to have a custom jacket created for your wedding day?
"I knew immediately that was what i wanted even before the dress. when i had found the dress - lucy can't dance, dipdyed gray - I knew the jacket would look stunning with it."
What elements or details did you want to incorporate into your jacket design and why were they meaningful to you?
"We have a cat - Marvin - who has been with us pretty much since the start of our relationship. He is not exactly like a dog who can pop along to the ceremony, but i wanted a nod to him. I added a dinosaur for our son Thomas, who is utterly obsessed. i had the outline of F1 tracks included, my now husband is obsessed and it is something we watch together, we got engaged at Silverstone at the 2023 F1 and our sons middle name is Lando (after the now world champion) , these circuit outlines to the untrained eye just look like squiggles but if you know you know. My husband did not see the jacket design until our wedding day so in design it felt like a nod to him. "

How did you find the process of designing and creating your personalised jacket?
"Really easy and helpful! I am not at all artistic so went to the initial appointment with the idea of what i wanted but no idea how it would look. Every time i had a design sent to me I was in awe of how it would look and it turned out even better than that!"
