Editorial Photoshoot at Black Market Stockton | Embroidered Suits & Sustainable Fashion
Some of our favourite projects begin with a simple idea and evolve into something completely unexpected.
For this editorial, we wanted to explore how embroidery can transform pre loved clothing into bold, contemporary fashion. Working with four thrifted suits, each piece was carefully reimagined using bespoke embroidery, giving every garment its own personality while celebrating the creativity that comes from reworking existing clothing.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of Black Market in Stockton, the collection brought together local creatives to produce an editorial full of colour, character and individuality.
A Collection of Four Unique Stories
Rather than creating a matching collection, each suit was designed to tell its own story.
Inspired by different themes, colours and embroidered motifs, every piece developed its own identity while remaining part of the wider collection. The contrast between classic tailoring and contemporary embroidery allowed every garment to feel both timeless and completely individual.
Using thrifted suits also gave each piece a second life, demonstrating how embroidery can breathe new creativity into existing clothing while encouraging a more sustainable approach to fashion.
The Perfect Setting
With its eclectic interiors, vintage details and colourful neon lighting, Black Market provided the perfect backdrop for the shoot.
From the lively bar area to the individually themed karaoke rooms, every corner offered a unique setting that complemented the embroidered garments. The relaxed atmosphere and bold interiors reflected the playful spirit of the collection, allowing each look to shine while celebrating one of Stockton's most distinctive independent venues.
Celebrating Local Creative Talent
This project was a true collaboration between talented creatives from across the North East.
The collection was brought to life by local models Abe, Marcus, Sasha and Jade, whose energy and personalities perfectly captured the spirit of the shoot.
Photography was beautifully captured by Daz Mack of That Ginger Media, whose eye for colour, composition and storytelling helped showcase every embroidered detail while preserving the vibrant atmosphere of Black Market.
Projects like this are a reminder of what can be achieved when local artists, businesses and creatives come together to create something special.
The Embroidery
Every embroidered design was carefully planned to complement the character of each suit rather than overpower it.
From delicate botanical details to bold statement motifs, every stitch was thoughtfully placed to enhance the tailoring and create garments that feel completely unique. The collection celebrates embroidery as a contemporary art form, capable of transforming everyday clothing into wearable pieces of art.
Looking Ahead
Editorial projects like this allow us to experiment, collaborate and explore new creative ideas.
Whether we're creating bespoke fashion pieces, embroidered artwork, wedding jackets or live event experiences, every project begins with the same passion for craftsmanship, storytelling and thoughtful design.
We're incredibly proud of this collaboration and grateful to everyone involved in bringing the vision to life.
